Spin spring's color wheel and switch from brights to refreshing pastels. you can try to combine pastels with monochrome. in this post, I try to combine lemon sorbet with black. the result is quite good. And the crop top is back this spring. I mix cropped shirt with dress (look like high waisted pencil skirts).

It’s all about pastel colors. I’m not crazy with ice creams but I’m crazy with pastel clothes. You will see me wearing this color more often. It’s one of my resolutions wearing more bright color. And strawberries and peppermint are my favorite color for spring 2012. I combine strawberries pants a contemporary kick with asymetric peppermint top. the pappermint top give a great shape for my outfit.

I do apologise for my lack of posts, I was sick a couple weeks ago. Here is my first post in 2012. I take this pics last friday. Honestly, I had bad hair days. I don't know what happened with my hairs. I think too much dry shampoo make my hairs like this.
I have always had a weakness for blouse and was amazed to find this. I often try to make everything monochrome, but this year I want to bring more colors to my outfit like three of my last post. so, I starting to collect some jewerly and bright clothes. I'm hoping its not only my outfit that changes but also my thesis status.

Not only summer but fall calls for a plethora of bright colors! Especially this season, with the color blocking trend taking over the fashion world by storm!
Nevertheless, there are a few fundamental rules to remember when attempting to pull of color blocking, like not overloading yourself with more than 3 bold colors in one outfit. We want to look fashionable, not clownish! LOL
Inspired by Japanese art books, I gave a shot at pairing pink with aquamarine, which I find to be quite a brilliant match. Since the upper part of the outfit is pretty “loud’, simply put on your favorite pair of black boots and drapped skirt (dress worn as skirt), and you’re good to go!

And for all you guys who ask about camera. I used Nikon D700 with 28-80 mm taken by my lovely and awesome photographer Nuri.

THIS TOP is my latest DIY piece, with the arms made out of boots wrap (Huggrz). I simply sewed the ends of the boots wrap onto the upper arm of the turtleneck top. Frankly, this is the oddest DIY project I have done so far – I can’t even recall where and how I came up with this idea! So, what do you think? Yay or nay?

It’s official – I have caught the flouorescent fever too! Not many seem to be immune to it, either.
Flaunting my new sweater! I adore the bright color as it seems to be capable of making any complexion glow, paired with this lime pleated skirt -yes, it look like a skirt in Christoper Kane resort 2012- I got it only 20$ . Honestly, I am not much of a fan of the lime color but it seems like the whole neon fever has managed to take over my senses too!

THE OTHER event I was most looking forward to besides Dewi Fashion Knight.
This is where all
the young talented designers ‘butt heads’ (figuratively speaking, of course) to score
themselves a Cleo Fashion Award. I’m sure you guys want to find out who bagged
themselves the fancy award, right?
I found myself exceptionally liking the spectacle put on by Sisca Tjong. It was so very
beautiful and feminine, which makes her the very well-deserved recipient of the Best Young
Designer award. Her work is truly amazing!. But Sadly I can't take a photos to capture her show.

NOKIA SHOW WITH YOSAFAT

THE SECOND event that I attended was YOSAFAT, which had quite a contrasting, dark theme from that of Mimi Rue’s. The collection itself was hugely dominated by the color black. It was quite reminiscent of the Alexander Wang’s Spring 2012 and Givenchy’s Fall 2011, particularly their array of slacks with mesh/net pockets and the sheer sweaters, respectively. Best thing is, they all come with a more affordable price tag compared to that of Wang’s and Givenchy’s.
The shoes in particular that were paraded around in this show caught my attention; they’re extraordinarily high and so edgy! Having my Nokia N9 in tow during the show was really accommodating as I could see the fabric details very well as the models walked passed in front of me. Overall, it was certainly a riveting presentation.

THE LONG awaited show of the entire JFW! There was a point where I was worried I wouldn’t
make it since I got trapped in the midst of Jakarta’s awful traffic and even managed to get
lost! Special thanks from us to Luana for driving us. Eventually, after all the mishaps, we
made it to Pacific Place just in time for the show.
I am beyond thrilled that our vegan shoe label acted as sponsor to the Mimi Rue fashion
show by the very gifted Jeanette Anandjo. The range of our shoes that were used are the
Nikki Cork Wedges, Luna Wedges and Melissa Wedges. The theme to the show itself could
be described as ‘Paris in summer’, parading lots of bold, gleeful and feminine colors.

LAST WEDNESDAY I was invited to attend Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) at Pacific Place,
Jakarta. JFW this year is particularly memorable since June+Julia, my vegan shoe label, was
the sponsor for one of LaSalle College’s fashion show. Thank you Jeanette Anandjo for
making this happen and I wish you all the very best for your future endeavors with Mimi Rue!

Besides attending the LaSalle College show, I also had invitations to Yosafat and Cleo
Fashion Awards. Unfortunately, I was unable to make a presence at the JFW closing
spectacle, Dewi Fashion Knight, as I had to rush back to Bandung on Thursday to wrestle
with my thesis. I will put up the pictures to each event in my next post.

I am flaunting my latest DIY work – the asymmetric blouse. Inspired primarily by Celine Resort
2011 and Acne Spring 2012 collection, the emphasis is on the longer length of the shirt at
the back; evidently, Celine’s ‚mullet‛ look. Since I only bought myself 2 meters of fabric, I
failed at making it resemble that of Celine’s ‚mullet‛ look but managed to make the back
part long enough. So, what do you think? Hope you like my latest DIY project – more will be
coming soon! ;-)

PS: My apologies for the poor photo quality. My best friend, Julia is still a novice at handling
a DSLR camera (so am I!). Please do bear with us until we get more practice.

SUNDAY just so happens to be my favorite day. No classes, no work…it’s all about rest and relaxation, with the company of some nice tunes. Yeap, that sounds just perfect. ☺

Coincidentally, today I am listening to a band called Casual Sunday, a local act of the alternative pop genre, brought to my attention by my very own translator. ;) The band is comprised of three brothers – Chris (guitar and vocals), Andrew (bass and backing vocals) and Brian (drums). Last year, they earned themselves a spot in Java Rockin’ Land, one of Indonesia’s renowned festivals. I very much adore Chris’ voice and find their unpretentious lyrics to be relatable and quite ear-catching. My personal favorite tracks have to be “Wanted” and “Out of Time”.

COLLAR are my thing of the moment. This probably came about from my love for blouses and collars can give a whole distinctive accentuation to them. In this particular post, I am wearing a cape modeled blouse backwards, where I have used the back part of the blouse as the façade with the button detailing. I think this is a pretty versatile way to maximize all your tops and a great opportunity to challenge yourselves fashion-wise in creating new, varied looks out of a single item of clothing. There are no boundaries to your creativity!

This week I’ve been experimenting quite a lot with creating tops, which is mostly an aversion from my never-ending thesis-induced stress! Instead, I’m enjoying this way too much. Oops. :p

In this episode, I’m once again parading my DIY top, the result of approximately two hours of experimentation. I’ve stacked a white T-shirt and white chiffon scarf, where the scarf has been sewn onto the T-shirt by hand to give off that drapery accent. If you look at it from the façade, it looks like I have a blouse on but from the back it simply looks like a T-shirt. It’s so simply interchangeable, if you ever get fed up of the whole blouse look.

To add the ‘impression’ of layering, I threw my mother’s pashmina on my left shoulder, just to add some nonchalant element to it. Besides my DIY tops, I also make DIY “belt necklaces”, chiefly inspired by the Hermés Spring 2011 collection. I’m actually planning on making a belt that’s inspired by the Lanvin Spring 2011 collection :).

Why do I like the sheer dress? Well, it’s because it’s quite versatile and allows me to create a number of different and varied looks. It can be worn as what it’s meant to be - a dress; or as a top, as I have done in this outfit. Personally, how do you like your sheer – as a dress or a top?

Back in the hay days of high school, I was such a fan of Jonathan Mulya!

As I have mentioned in my last blog post, I was invited to attend an event called “Fashion Affair” in Plaza Indonesia, which was sponsored by Urban Icon. I had such a great time at this exciting event! They had this Coaching Clinic which was executed remarkably by Fira Basuki (the Editor-in-Chief of Cosmopolitan Indonesia) and Dewi Lestari (the Fashion Editor for Harper’s Bazaar Indonesia). 7 other fabulous bloggers were also present at the event, other than myself, namely Diana Rikasari, Sonia Eryka, Cindy Diamondhurts, Fifi and Hanna of Hijab Scarf’s and last but not least, Heidy Kalalo.

And… it looks like I will be heading to Jakarta again very soon to attend the Tex Saverio fashion show! Hope to see you there!

The camel coat I wore with denim shirt back in April and the June+Julia leather chain flats ( I don't use the chain). I never bored wearing camel colors, I already have a coat, tee, and tailored pants. Just need a camel kitten heels and camel knit sweater to complete my wardrobe. for relaxed feel you should pair a camel clothes with denim (shirt, skirt, or jeans).

Red is fall’s favorite bright spark. it’s very perfect colors for preppy style. you should combine red top with matching shoes for head to toe chic. Because I don't have red shoes, I wear patent flats to synchronize the red top. A few people have asked about the camera that I have use, for volunteer post I use Canon Ixus 80 IS (editing with Adobe photoshop cs3), for these photos Nuri use Nikon D700 and Omar use Canon 5D (both of they photos editing by me with Adobe photoshop cs3).

Make me shine

It's been 6 months since I have first tried L'oreal Elseve Shampoo and I love it.
I brought L'oreal Elseve Nutri Gloss because my hair was very fine straight, lacking shine,
looked dull and I wanted something to bring it back to life.

I'm so happy when L'oreal Elseve Indonesia sent me L'oreal Elseve Nutri Gloss (with new
formula shine booster) Shampoo and conditioner. they're the best gift for my hairs.
I don't like use conditioner before ( I just use L'oreal Elseve Nutri Gloss shampoo), but
I love L'oreal Elseve conditioner, it's very different with anothers, it's very easy to wash
and make my hairs more shiny and smooth. The combination of the two do really suit
my hairs. I don't have flat hairs again, my hairs looks healthy, shine, and more manageable.
The shampoo does smell very nice and quite sweet. the conditioner smell much nicer than
the shampoo. The price is very affordable for world class haircare. just Rp.19.900
for a 200 ml bottle.

Bottomline, as with all product it comes down to personal preference,
what might suit some will not suit others, but for me I do love the product because it works.
I'd really recomended you bought this product.
and for great perform you should buy a complete set
(shampoo, conditioner, daily conditioner, hair spa mask).

The weather is very hot, it's like 34 celcius. And I'm forgot to bring sunglasses.
the hot weather makes me obsessed with anything silk.
Btw, I wear one of my DIY project "faux fur collar".
you still can use this faux fur collar on summer, you just need to put it on silk shirt.
it's very easy and cheap, you just need your old shirt and faux fur.
This is the second faux fur collar I made, the first faux fur collar still at Girlfriend Indonesia's Office.

I dislike the weather in february, cuz it's very weird

but at the second photos the sky are so dark and windy
I hope the weather back to normal again

Spending my night sewing military dress, super excited and make my shoulder hurt
until now I had made four DIY dress, four shirts,one pants, one failed high weist jeans, one mid leggings and preen inspired blazer. I promise if I have time I will make the tutorial how to make all of these clothes.

I love made a shirt, it's the easiest for all of them, the hardest is when make blazer and jeans, you should very careful when measure you're body and make the prototype.

DIY tutorial : How to make studded bracelet and fish bracelet

I have to apologize for taking a long time to do this post. But I was sick for one weeks with incredibly bad shoulder hurt (too much sewing). It makes me missed the first week in my new semester and then a couple days back I was an earthquake 7.3, Thanks God this earthquake didn't broke my home and Im still can write this post

Studded Bracelet

What you'll need
1.Pyramid studs (width 1cm)
2.elastic ribbon (width 3cm, length 15cm)
3.two pairs of hook
4.very thin needle with black thread
5.acrylic glue

1. glue the studs onto the elastic ribbon

2. glue all of them until like this

3. sew a hook inside elastic ribbon, you need two pairs of hook in every side

4. voila!

Fish Bracelet

What you'll need
1. suede ribbon
2. fish charm
3. gold beads

1. put the fish charm on the suede ribbon and then
put the beads in the end of the suede ribbon

2.voila!

My DIY Bracelet

1.big studded bracelet ( I have three various color )
2.studded bracelet
3.fish bracelet

i want to start selling shoes and clothes (taillored by me). but instead of just thinking of some random thing for this trend, i wanted to ask you what you want.

whats your most wanted things for this trend ?
whats payment methods do you want ? (paypal, cash, money order)

if you have any examples of things you think would be inspirational, link me up, and give me ideas of what you'd like for designs, patterns, buttons, fabrics and details . any input would be so appreciated.

i haven't updated this blog in like eight months hahaha
so it's time to get back into the swing of things
midterms was over *high five*
so i will start to make a new photography project with linda
i will post all about my project soon
oh yah and i finally read breaking dawn
im very dissapointed, im big fans twillight series, but i don't like this book tbh
what happened with stephenie meyer ?,she break all her rules.
i like happy ending but is not funny when bella pregnant, ughh she still 19
,and i think vampire is steril.
i know edward perfect and blablablabla but oh pls life is not just for boys
still waitin twillight movie, when it will be show in indonesia ?!, do u know ?
